Students met in groups today to read successful examples of college essays and analyses from admissions officers.  They deconstructed and evaluated the essays and presented their findings to the rest of the class.

Period 3

Students finished the interview presentations and then went to have pictures taken.  Tomorrow, we will continue with the college essay process.

Period 4

I passed back students' corrected/revised interview essays and went over 3 grammar/style rules:  use of commas in compound sentences, noun-pronoun agreement, and the proper placement of "however".  Tomorrow, we will continue with the college essay process.

TO ALL OF YOU:  Begin reading your research paper books!  You need to bring questions/concerns to me ASAP!!

Have a great night!  See you tomorrow...
