Collected interview revisions; checked books for covers and notebooks for notes on the introduction to Anglo-Saxon literature.  Reviewed information from the introduction.  Terms to know include:  lyric poetry, elegy, caesura, kennings, and scops. Began reading "The Seafarer".  

HW:  Finish reading the poem and bring in one question that you would ask the speaker of this poem.  Remember rough drafts of college essays due next Wednesday, 9-19-12.  Be prepared for surprise quizzes on vocabulary!!
