English 10 CP
Period 1  Ten (10) new vocabulary words today.  For homework, create one alliterative phrase for each word--each phrase should have 3 or more words.  Tomorrow I will collect your Julius Caesar journals.  There should be 21 entries, 3 response for each of the 7 scenes we have read thus far.  We have read up to and including Act III scene 1.

Dates to remember:  Wednesday, 11-24-2010>vocabulary quiz; there will be an assessment on your outside reading book the week of 12-6-2010.

Period 4  Collected Julius Caesar reading journals today.  We read through Act III scene 2 and looked closely at Marc Antony's monologue to the people of Rome in which he praised his friend Julius Caesar and condemned the actions of Brutus and Cassius.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, 11-23-2010>vocabulary quiz on words from "abridge" to "usurp".

English 12 CP WORD OF THE DAY:  parochial
Period 3  Today, the research paper contract was distributed to students.  The first step you must hand in is the signed contract due Monday, 11-29-2010.  I have scheduled the class to meet in the library next week to begin your research.  We also had a quiz on Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. 

Dates to remember:  There will be an assessment on your 2nd quarter outside reading book the week of January 3, 2011.
